Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Driver to transport staff, patients and visitors in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The role includes vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning, with attention to security in parking areas.

Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch, monitoring grounds, and ensuring accurate documentation. Primary location is Grand Rapids, with variable shift times and a 10-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid MI chauffeur license and clean driving record.
• Basic customer service and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for staff, patients and guests to and from locations.
• Performs basic maintenance, inspection, and cleaning of department vehicles.
• Communicates with dispatch via radio during routes.
• Monitors parking areas for hazards and reports issues.
• Completes documentation accurately per regulations and policy.

Job Summary

The Driver position is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high degree of responsibility transporting staff, patients, and visitors in a safe, timely and professional manner. The driver must be able to operate vehicle in all weather and driving conditions with multiple distractions. Drivers are required to perform vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning duties. They are also responsible for monitoring parking areas and grounds for potential security issues.

Essential Functions

• Provides transportation for employees, guests and community groups to and from various locations
• Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate
• Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route.
• Monitors parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department
• Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be 25 years of age for Valet
• Must have excellent driving record
• LIC-Chauffeur License - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 Days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Not required for Spectrum Health Lakeland. 90 Days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Not required for Spectrum Health Lakeland. 90 Days

Preferred

• 6 months of relevant experience
