Qualifications

• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds and handle freight safely.
• Must hold CDL Class A or CLP prior to entry and meet DOT requirements.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per hiring standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Communicate with Dispatch and customers about pickups and deliveries.
• Demonstrate internal and external customer service.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations and DOT procedures.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
