Formación

• CDL or CLP required before entering job classification.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hook up/break down trailers requiring up to ~100 lb lift.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight up to 100 lb several times a week.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and operate safely.

Responsabilidades

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre/post/inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Perform freight handling with forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets/straps/rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Verify/complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch on delays or equipment issues.
• Provide customer service and determine pickup/delivery needs.
• Assist with road driver or freight handler duties when required.
