Job summary

Tireco Distributors in Jessup, MD is seeking a Driver to deliver tires and wheels, provide friendly service, and maintain safe vehicle operation. This on-site role involves loading/unloading, collecting payments, and occasional warehouse support.

You’ll navigate road deliveries across state lines as needed, follow DOT requirements, and use a box truck and clamp forklift under supervision. The position offers weekly pay, paid time off, and benefits including medical and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; some states may require Class D (No CDL).
• DOT compliance: pass drug test and DOT physical; be 21+, willing to cross state lines.
• Able to be insured under company driving policy.
• Safe operation of a box truck and a clamp forklift.
• Manual tire handling 30–80 lbs daily; team lift for 80 lbs+.
• Preferred: 2+ years experience with box trucks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tires and wheels using company vehicle and provide courteous service.
• Load and unload products; collect payments; manage returns.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Assist in warehouse orders and loading/unloading trucks; operate forklift as needed.

As a Driver for Tireco Distributors (TD), you will be the face of our company and on the front lines delivering the essential products that keep our country rolling. You will be responsible for the safe delivery of tires and wheels using a company vehicle while providing friendly and professional customer service, loading and unloading product, collecting payments, managing product returns, and maintaining your assigned vehicle. Although you will be delivering most of the time, you will also assist in the warehouse orders, loading and unloading trucks, and operating equipment such as forklift.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Possess a valid standard driver’s license, some states may require a Class D license – No CDL required
• Meet requirements for DOT compliance; pass drug test and DOT physical, be at least 21 years, eligible and willing to cross state lines for deliveries as required
• Ability to be insured under company driving policy
• Ability to safely operate a box truck and a clamp forklift
• Ability to manually move tires between 30 – 80 lbs daily. 80lbs+ requires a team lift
• Preferred - 2+ years experience safely operating a box truck
