Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager in Texas to lead operations and drive guest satisfaction. You will train and manage drive-in staff, control costs, schedule shifts, and ensure safety and compliance.

As the top manager, you will oversee opening/closing, vendor relations, marketing initiatives, and performance reporting, while maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related field.
• Experience: At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge: Labor and employment laws (federal, state, local).
• Knowledge: Health and safety laws and regulations.
• Basic computer, math, accounting, and reading skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving, time-management, leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage compensation levels per company guidelines.
• Supervise operations to deliver an optimal guest experience.
• Handle opening/closing duties; manage guest and employee concerns.
• Forecast and control food, labor, and inventory to maximize cost-control and efficiency.
• Lead team meetings to ensure standards and service.
• Maintain records and prepare operational reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business-performance plans.
• Ensure maintenance of drive-in equipment and vendor performance.
