Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations. You will train and coach team members, manage staffing, inventory, and safety to ensure fast, friendly service and a clean dining experience.

The role emphasizes leadership, shift management, and hands-on supervision to maintain high quality food and guest satisfaction across busy hours, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience required.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times.
• Responds to guest requests and assists in resolving complaints.
