Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in operating a fast-paced drive-in restaurant in the United States. You will train and supervise Team Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops, ensuring service quality, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.

You’ll also handle opening/closing duties and help manage staffing and inventory to control costs. The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and a guest-centric mindset, with flexibility to work

Qualifications

At least six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
Ability to multi-task and solve problems.

Responsibilities

Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
Adheres to and monitors employee handbook, policies and practices.
Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
Monitors and adjusts staffing, inventory levels and food cost.
Performs weekly inventory and administrative tasks.
Reinforces customer service focus and resolves guest requests.
