Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Austin, TX is seeking a General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, coach crew and carhop staff, and ensure outstanding guest experiences. You will oversee scheduling, inventory management, payroll records, and compliance with health and safety standards, while driving sales and profitability.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/ Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Adheres to and monitors employee compliance with policies and practices.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors and maintains inventory; places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains employment records and payroll records.
• Reinforces customer service mentality and resolves guest requests.
• Interviews and hires restaurant crew and management team members.
• Prepares operational reports and develops action plans for financial/sales trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
