Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Austin, TX is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and manage staff across all shifts. You will train crew, manage schedules, monitor inventory, and implement action plans to improve sales and service quality.

The role requires strong leadership, recruitment, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate irregular hours and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced QSR environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
• Willingness to work a minimum 5 days per week with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of labor laws and sanitation regulations; strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit and interview staff; follow directions and multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, coach and supervise Crew, Carhops and staff.
• Direct daily operations to meet service and safety standards.
• Prepare work schedules and adjust staffing as needed.
• Monitor inventory and place orders within cost controls.
• Develop and implement a marketing plan and drive sales.
• Prepare operational reports and implement action plans.
