Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations at our Washington-area drive-in. You will train and supervise crew and carhops, ensure safety, cleanliness and fast service, and implement staffing and inventory controls to drive guest satisfaction.

The position requires 2+ years in restaurant management, the ability to work long hours including nights and weekends, and knowledge of labor laws and budgeting. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies in business or restaurant management are preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Able to work a minimum 5 days per week with closing shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices; knowledge of labor laws and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, monitor, and coach crew, carhops and management staff.
• Direct and assign employees to meet service and quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with handbook, policies and practices and perform opening/closing duties.
• Prepare schedules and adjust staffing levels to control costs.
• Manage inventory, place orders within cost controls, and monitor expenses.
• Record payroll and other employment-related records; ensure accurate reporting.
• Develop and implement marketing plans and action steps to address sales trends.
• Hire restaurant staff to achieve proper staffing levels and ensure excellent guest experience.
