Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Grants, NM is seeking a General Manager to lead restaurant operations and staff toward delivering a clean, safe, and delicious guest experience.

You'll recruit, train and supervise crew, carhops and management, prepare schedules, monitor inventory, and develop action plans to improve sales and service—while upholding company policies and standards. This role requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and a focus on guest satisfaction and financial results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience
• Ability to work a minimum 5 day workweek with irregular hours including nights and weekends
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health/sanitation regulations
• Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; strong verbal and written communication
• Basic accounting and computer skills
• Ability to multitask and solve problems with autonomy
• Willing to follow appearance, uniform and hygiene standards

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew/team members, carhops and skating carhops
• Directs and assigns staff to meet operational standards
• Ensures compliance with employee handbook, policies and practices
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
• Prepares work schedules and adjusts staffing levels
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls
• Maintains employment records and payroll records
• Ensures a customer service focus and resolves guest requests
• Interviews and hires staff to achieve proper staffing levels
• Develops action plans to address unfavorable financial or sales trends
• Develops and implements a marketing plan
