Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Texas seeks a General Manager to lead a team of crew and management, driving guest satisfaction, food safety, and operational excellence.

You will train staff, schedule shifts, manage inventory, and develop action plans to improve guest experience and sales. This role requires a minimum of two years' management experience in a fast‑food environment and the ability to work evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business/restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4-day week) including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices; knowledge of labor laws and sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills; basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet operational standards.
• Prepare and adjust work schedules; monitor staffing levels.
• Monitor inventory and place orders within cost controls.
• Complete payroll and employment records; maintain compliance records.
• Develop action plans to address unfavorable financial or sales trends; implement marketing plans.
