Job summary

Veit is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers and other construction equipment on our Minnesota projects. You will excavate, move and grade earth, assist in erection of structures and support concrete or pavement work while following Veit safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and 6–12 months of equipment operation experience, plus OSHA 10 and basic first aid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months of operating construction equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to read grade stakes/site plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment (graders, bulldozers, scrapers, loaders, etc.).
• Follow Veit safety procedures and report hazards.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance.
• Assist in training entry-level operators as needed.
• Communicate with supervision and project team; coordinate with foreman/superintendent.
