Job summary

Avenue Logistics in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Drayage Sales Manager to build and scale our drayage and transloading operations. You will own strategy, processes, and partnerships across ports, warehouses, and carrier networks, reporting directly to executive leadership.

We value a hands-on leader who can expand offerings, implement scalable workflows, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with sales, operations, and technology teams to deliver measurable growth.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in drayage, transloading, intermodal, or port logistics.
• Ability to build scalable transportation operations and processes.
• Strong commercial mindset to partner with sales on pricing and growth.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and day-to-day performance of Avenue's drayage and transloading operations.
• Expand network of drayage carriers, cross-dock facilities, warehouses, and partners.
• Develop standardized processes for quoting, scheduling, container management, and shipment execution.
• Monitor KPIs to measure service, efficiency, capacity, and growth.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and technology for automation and visibility.
