Job summary

The Westin Cleveland Downtown, operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a guest-focused server to join our bustling downtown restaurant. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, and ensure accurate POS entry, while delivering timely, friendly service in a high-volume setting.

The position offers hourly pay with gratuities, flexible shifts, and opportunities to learn beverage service. Candidates should be team players with a professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Team player with willingness to assist coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service and etiquette.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Able to operate POS and handle orders accurately.
• Able to lift and carry trays up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Greet guests warmly and explain specials or promotions.
• Record order details, repeat to guest for accuracy.
• Input orders into POS and inform kitchen accordingly.
• Retrieve orders up to 30 lbs, deliver with condiments.
• Comply with alcohol-service regulations and procedures.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees upon request.
• Close out checks and pre-check orders at POS.
• Present the check promptly to guests.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
