Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is partnering with a premier regional healthcare facility to recruit a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician in Mattoon, IL. This BC/BE position offers a strong salary and a workload designed to minimize burnout, with a supportive environment.

The role features three 10-hour shifts per month block rotation, a 32-bed ED, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, malpractice coverage, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Illinois medical license or immediate eligibility to obtain.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a 32-bed ED.
• Maintain a low patient pace with fewer than two encounters per hour.
• Collaborate with a second on-duty physician to ensure double-coverage.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity trauma and cardiac cases.
• Work a rotation of 15 shifts per month across three 10-hour blocks.
