Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is a nationwide geospatial and construction-phase solutions leader seeking an experienced Utility Coordinator to support DOT-related projects across the region. You will collaborate with DOT contacts, prime firm PMs, and project teams to coordinate utility adjustments, review relocation plans, and ensure constructibility and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in preparing agreements for relocating utilities in accordance to local, state and federal utility accommodation processes and practices.
• 1+ years’ experience as a utility coordinator on state DOT projects or comparable experience working for utility companies.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to manage project budgets.
• Design Build experience a plus.
• Microstation/AutoCAD skills a plus.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Supervisory experience of projects and personnel preferred.
• Engineering degree or Professional Engineer license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating utility adjustment process for roadway and utility improvement projects.
• Determining Utility Conflict and conflict resolution using Subsurface Utility Engineering data and design plans.
• Preparation and submission of Utility Agreements.
• Reviewing relocation plans for constructibility and DOT compliance.
• Scheduling and conducting utility meetings.
• Preparing meeting minutes and status reports.
• Reviewing permitting and relocation progress.
• Managing project budgets and reporting status.
• Contributing to SAM's strategic goals.
