Job summary

Utah Transit Authority in Salt Lake City is seeking a Drug and Alcohol Program Administrator to oversee DOT drug and alcohol testing programs, maintain confidentiality in sensitive personnel matters, and train managers and staff on policy applications.

As DER and subject matter expert, you will analyze data, monitor vendor compliance, and provide data-driven insights to strengthen program effectiveness in a high-stakes transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional support experience to HR, Legal, or Safety groups.
• Experience in project management.
• DOT drug and alcohol testing program administration experience preferred.
• HRIS experience preferred.
• Experience with drug and alcohol record keeping software preferred.
• Union environment experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HRM, or related field.
• Valid Utah driver's license with limited moving violations in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Administer drug and alcohol testing programs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in sensitive personnel matters.
• Develop and provide training to managers, supervisors, and employees on policy application.
• Monitor contractors and vendors for DOT compliance.
• Analyze data, survey results, and metrics to generate reports and visuals.
• Serve as SME for DOT testing regulations and UTA policy and DER duties.
• Provide on-site DER support and participate in after-hours availability.
