Job summary

MFA Incorporated is seeking a DOT regulatory compliance professional to oversee federal and state DOT requirements, training programs, and fleet inspections. This role ensures adherence to FMCSA, PHMSA, and FRA regulations and supports locations with compliance questions.

The candidate will develop trainings (ELDT, ELD, DVIR) and coordinate data submissions while managing staff and participating in department budgeting and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors preferred with 5+ years DOT experience or HS diploma with 10+ years DOT experience.
• Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement preferred.
• Strong regulatory interpretation and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor DOT compliance issues and recommend solutions.
• Stay current with changing regulatory requirements and advise on compliance.
• Provide determinations related to DOT requirements (FMCSA, PHMSA, FRA).
• Ensure inspections of DOT-regulated vehicles and equipment.
• Develop and conduct training (ELDT, ELD, DVIR, maintenance).
• Submit information to agencies to maintain compliance (MCS 150, DataQ, incident reports).
• Assist locations with questions on DOT requirements.
• Manage DOT staff and assign tasks; assist in budgeting.
• Develop programs to maintain compliance; represent company in audits.
