Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating clean-up, repairs, meetings, and case notes, while maintaining communication with counselors and staff.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
• Computer literacy with basic functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to provide guidance and support to students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of residential living and dormitory procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensures orderly, clean living conditions by scheduling and supervising clean-up and submitting repair requests.
• Provides supervision for cafeteria, laundry, special activities, and other areas as scheduled or assigned.
• Identifies and assists students in handling special problems and conducts dormitory meetings.
• Maintains communication with students' counselors, instructors, and other staff.
• Attends staff in-service training sessions and other trainings or meetings.
• Establishes a close working relationship with students and motivates them toward goals.
• Initiates and directs dormitory programs using Center services and activities.
• Transports students to activities and events as needed.
• Maintains an environment where students and staff feel safe and secure.
• Maintains logbooks and ensures accurate CIS entries.
• Secures students' personal property and logs items.
• Submits time sheets as required.
• Assists and trains student leaders per center policy.
• Participates in intramural programs.
• Ensures students meet their evening schedule.
• Provides safety and security support on center.
• Ensures buildings are secure and clean at all times.
• Cleans up and maintains order within dorm.
• Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct daily.
• Complies with all applicable policies and notices.
• Adheres to property control policies.
• Maintains good housekeeping and safe practices.
• Models and mentors Career Success Standards.
• Helps students become more employable through reinforcement.
• Participates in mandatory staff trainings.
