Job summary

LaForce is seeking a Door Conversion Technician to join our production floor, turning raw materials into prepped, custom-fit hollow metal, stainless steel, and wood doors. You’ll customize doors with hardware, glass kits, lites, and size modifications, and interpret shop orders, templates, and drawings to bring designs to life.

Work with a range of tools—arc welders, grinders, sanders, band saws, routers, plasma cutters—and participate in glazing, mortising, painting, and light fabrication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills.
• Able to read technical drawings and shop specs.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Customize and prep doors with hardware, glass kits, lites, and sizing changes.
• Interpret shop orders, templates, and drawings to bring designs to life.

• Operate forklifts and manage materials across the shop.

What You'll Do

As a Door Conversion Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our production floor – transforming raw materials into fully prepped, custom-fit hollow metal, stainless steel, and wood doors. Every day brings something new as you:

• Customize and prep doors with hardware, glass kits, lites, and sizing modifications.
• Interpret shop orders, templates, and drawings to bring our designs to life.
• Work with a variety of tools: welding, routing, grinding, sanding, and painting.
• Operate forklifts and manage materials across the shop.
• Collaborate with teammates and contribute ideas for process improvement.

You’ll Use and Learn
