Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, including health history, basic medical questions, and referrals to medical staff when appropriate.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick for hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma and explain the screening process and center policies.
• Register or transfer donors as needed based on training and center needs.
• Answer telephones and respond to caller questions or transfer to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor reactions and alert staff as needed; report donor flow issues to supervisor.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system in accordance with SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• Cross-train in other areas to meet business needs; bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
