Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Donor Center Assistant at our Lawrence plasma center. You will greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through the screening process as part of the pheresis workflow, ensuring compliance with SOPs and accurate data recording.

Role includes health-history checks, answering donor questions, coordinating with medical staff, and maintaining confidentiality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 months of clerical or customer service experience, preferably in medical setting.
• Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for pheresis.
• Assist donors with screening procedures per SOPs, including health history and questions.
• Educate donors on the donation process and center policies after training.
• Register and transfer donors as needed.
• Answer phones and direct callers as appropriate.
• Monitor donors for reactions during/after pheresis and alert staff as needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
• Cross-train in other roles as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required per organizational needs.
