Job summary

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is seeking an Interim/Donor Relations-focused Individual and Planned Giving Officer in NYC. The role manages a donor portfolio, cultivates relationships and oversees the Colleen Dewhurst Legacy Society within the development team.

The position reports to the Senior Development Officer and collaborates with the director of development to grow both individual and planned giving programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of individual and/or planned giving fundraising experience.
• Proven track record of soliciting and securing gifts of $1,000+.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge and database systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with coordinating events and donor stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 300 donors and prospects giving $1,000+ annually.
• Deepen donor connection to Broadway Cares’ mission and inform them about events and opportunities.
• Identify high-potential donors and craft engagement strategies.
• Regularly connect with donors via in-person meetings, Zoom, phone and email.
• Record notes and actions in Raiser's Edge/NXT and support data accuracy.
• Draft solicitation and acknowledgement letters and assist with grant proposals.
