Job summary

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS in New York City is seeking an experienced Individual and Planned Giving Officer to manage a donor portfolio, cultivate relationships, and grow the Colleen Dewhurst Legacy Society. This hybrid role reports to the Senior Development Officer and collaborates with the director of development and the full team.

Responsibilities include donor engagement, planned giving stewardship, event support, and drafting solicitation letters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of individual and/or planned giving fundraising experience
• Proven track record of soliciting and securing gifts of $1,000+
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and utilize database systems; knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus
• Willingness to support fundraising events and team initiatives
• Appreciation for theater and the performing arts

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 300 donors and prospects who give or have the capacity to give $1,000+ annually
• Ensure donors deepen their connection to Broadway Cares’ mission and are informed about events and opportunities
• Identify donors with higher potential and create personalized engagement plans
• Regularly connect with donors in person and via Zoom, phone and email to steward and solicit
• Record notes and actions in Raiser's Edge/NXT and assist with acknowledgements and listings
• Draft solicitation and acknowledgement letters and occasional foundation grant proposals
