Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Constituent & Gift Coordinator to manage donor records and perform complex gift processing duties in a collaborative fundraising team. The role ensures compliance with accounting principles, UTMB policy, and applicable laws, handling confidential donor information with accuracy.

The position supports the Development team, processes gifts from various sources, and maintains constituent records while providing excellent donor service and reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent; two years related experience.
• Five years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to apply accounting principles.
• Knowledge of donor database and gift transaction processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of accounting, computer, and information systems.
• Knowledge of database software.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public.

Responsibilities

• Enter gifts into the Raiser’s Edge database and upload scanned documentation.
• Review and code gifts; process receipts from multiple sources.
• Provide customer service to alumni and donor constituencies.
• Identify processing problems and recommend changes; resolve transaction issues.
• Produce reports for gift review, deposit, and gift notifications to staff.
• Administer gift acknowledgement process and coordinate with Development on major gifts.
• Maintain biographical records: addresses, employment, and related donor info.
• Complete cashier and compliance training; adhere to internal controls.
