Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during pheresis, such as alarms and donor events.
• Use PDA to link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and procedures and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
