Job summary

Issue One is seeking an Individual Giving Manager to lead a portfolio of donors up to $25,000 annually, with growth toward mid-level and major gifts. The role emphasizes personalized cultivation, strategic outreach, and collaboration with the VP/Philanthropy to build a robust donor program.

You will leverage events, online giving, and targeted communications to engage donors, maintain accurate Salesforce records, and help meet revenue targets in a hybrid, DMV-based environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive fundraising or donor relations experience.
• Proven success cultivating and securing gifts from individual donors, with a portfolio.
• Experience moving donors through a cultivation pipeline and renewal/upgrade strategies.
• Familiar with donor acknowledgment, correspondence, and stewardship processes.
• Comfortable with a cross-partisan approach and engaging diverse political viewpoints.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of individual donors up to $25,000 annually and cultivate toward larger gifts.
• Develop individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
• Identify new prospects via donor database, events, and referrals.
• Maintain regular donor communication to build lasting relationships.
• Move donors along the giving ladder toward mid-level/major gifts.
• Collaborate with Major Gifts and Leadership Giving for transitions.
• Utilize events, digital channels, and engagement to grow the portfolio.
• Draft donor correspondence, proposals, and stewardship updates.
• Track interactions and revenue projections in Salesforce.
• Monitor portfolio performance and report on pipeline health and donor trends.
• Meet or exceed annual giving revenue goals.
• Support TCAD engagement and donor communications as needed.
