Job summary

Issue One is seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager to lead a frontline donor program focused on donors up to $25,000, with a pathway to major gifts. The role reports to the VP of Philanthropy and collaborates with the full philanthropy team in a hybrid work setting in the Northeast region.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in fundraising, a proven donor portfolio record, and fluency with Salesforce to track activity, goals, and donor movement across the giving ladder.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related field.
• Experience managing a donor portfolio and moves management.
• Experience identifying and qualifying new prospects and moving donors through a cultivation pipeline.
• Familiarity with donor databases (Salesforce preferred).
• Ability to craft clear, personalized donor correspondence and proposals.
• Comfort working in a cross-partisan environment and engaging diverse donors.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of individual donors up to $25,000 annually, with potential to grow to mid/major gifts.
• Develop and execute personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Identify new prospects via donor database, online activity, events, and referrals.
• Conduct donor outreach through meetings, calls, site visits, and communications.
• Collaborate with Major Gifts leadership to transition donors to higher giving levels.
• Draft donor communications, proposals, and stewardship updates.
