Job summary

Marwen is seeking an Individual Giving Manager to build and grow a mid-level to major gifts program in Chicago. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors giving between $2,500 and $10,000, with a target to raise $200,000 annually and create a strong donor pipeline.

The role emphasizes donor-facing relationship management, strategic moves management, and collaboration with leadership to advance philanthropy and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years experience in individual and/or major donor fundraising.
• Proven track record cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding mid-level/major donors in Chicago and national philanthropy.
• Strong relationship-building and storytelling skills.
• Organizational skills with ability to work autonomously, set goals and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of major and mid-level donors ($2,500–$10,000) to generate revenue.
• Implement moves management to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
• Set weekly outreach goals and maintain donor notes in the database.
• Identify and qualify new prospects with leadership to grow the pipeline.
• Collaborate with Deputy Director, Development and Executive Director to engage top donors.
• Work with leadership to develop fundraising budgets, monthly updates, and quarterly forecasts.
• Develop personalized donor stewardship plans and coordinate with Communications for recognition.
