Job summary

Community HousingWorks seeks a frontline fundraiser to grow the individual giving program by building meaningful donor relationships and managing a portfolio of prospects. The role focuses on cultivating gifts of $5,000+, moving donors toward major gifts, and strengthening donor retention through meetings, events, and personalized outreach.

Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy & Community Engagement, the role emphasizes collaboration across the Advancement team to achieve revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit fundraising and donor development experience.
• Experience with gifts of $5,000 or more and donor cultivation.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new individual giving prospects and cultivate donor relationships.
• Manage a portfolio with annual goals for donor engagement, solicitations, renewals, upgrades, and revenue.
• Develop strategies to move annual and mid-level donors toward increased giving and long-term engagement.
• Document donor activity and track progress in CHW’s CRM.
• Collaborate with the VP PCE to align donor strategies with CHW priorities.
