Job summary

Life Connection of Ohio seeks a Family Services Coordinator to advocate for organ, eye, and tissue donation, guiding families and hospital staff through the donation process. The role involves providing support, information, and compassionate communication while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

The FSC conducts discussions with families, documents cases accurately, and collaborates with medical partners. On-call hours and travel are required to fulfill mission-driven duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in counseling, social work, crisis management, or bereavement support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for organ, eye, and tissue donation and guide families through the process.
• Provide information on paperwork, regulations, and policies to families and hospital staff.
• Support donor families before, during, and after donation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Document family interactions thoroughly and collaborate with Organ Recovery Coordinators.
• Be available for on-call shifts and travel as required.
