Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute events for the Office of Development. The role includes coordinating logistics, guest lists, and collateral for donor-focused activities and special initiatives across Michigan Medicine and the City of Troy expansion.

Your duties cover development, stewardship events, faculty/staff recognition, and campaign-related activities with opportunities to support major facility openings and VIP gatherings in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in event management or related field.
• At least 2 years in event strategy, fundraising, or development events.
• Proven ability to manage complex events independently and in a team.
• Experience negotiating contracts with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of event planning including logistics, guest lists, and materials.
• Plan a diverse portfolio of Michigan Medicine events and support major facility openings.
• Negotiate contracts, track budgets, and manage vendor payments.
• Engage stakeholders across departments to deliver donor-focused events.
