Job summary

Austin Habitat for Humanity seeks a Development and Events Manager to lead our annual signature fundraising event and donor-focused initiatives. You will work with the development team to drive revenue, manage vendors, sponsors, and programming, and craft compelling storytelling for supporters.

You will build relationships with donors and volunteers, develop event timelines and budgets, and help grow AHFH's individual donor base through engaging campaigns and stewardship across channels.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S./B.B.A. degree required.
• At least 3 years of professional fundraising, event planning, donor stewardship experience.
• Strong written and verbal negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office Suite, CRM, and project management software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with donors and volunteers.
• Outstanding project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the annual signature fundraising event, including budget, logistics, marketing, and programming.
• Collaborate with the development team to execute donor-focused events and campaigns.
• Develop strategies with leadership to reach event revenue goals.
• Maintain relationships with event vendors, venues, sponsors, and donors.
• Create detailed event timelines and assign roles and responsibilities.
• Cultivate individual donors and volunteers to grow donor engagement and giving.
