Job summary

Breakthrough Central Texas seeks an experienced Development Manager to strengthen and grow our annual giving program, deepen donor engagement, and increase revenue to support student success. You will lead multi-channel fundraising strategies, collaborate with staff and volunteers, and ensure data fidelity and timely gift processing.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, you will supervise the Development Associate, coordinate events such as Breakthrough’s signature Benefit Concert,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with annual giving, direct mail, stewardship, campaigns, and events.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication aligned with brand standards.
• Ability to plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including signature events and Give/Amplify Austin style efforts.
• Strong organizational skills with data capture, timelines, and workflow management.
• Experience supporting donors and stakeholders with responsive relationship management.
• Commitment to student-centered impact and educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual giving initiatives, including giving days, end-of-year fundraising, and monthly recurring giving.
• Oversee donor retention, renewal, reactivation, and upgrades using data insights.
• Monitor annual giving performance and report results, proposing improvements.
• Supervise the Development Associate and manage development operations and gift processing.
