Job summary

Rice University seeks a Data Services Administrator to coordinate check gifts, credit card gifts, securities, wires, and pledges for entry into the alumni/development database system. The role supports data reconciliation and project work for the Data Services team.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and exceptional data quality focus. Hybrid in-office/remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Establishs complex recordkeeping procedures and cross-indexing.
• Maintains and integrates data from multiple sources to ensure data integrity.
• Uses software to manipulate and report complex data.
• Develops new tools for data collection and analysis.
• Correspond with data providers to resolve ambiguities and inconsistencies.
• Performs audits to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Selects appropriate formulas or applications based on data content.
• May provide administrative support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Prepares logs of gifts for data entry and supports revenue data entry in the alumni/development system.
• Serves as SME for revenue data entry and processes revenue adjustments.
• Coordinates gift memo preparation and new gift fund requests.
