Job summary

Stray Cat Alliance is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our small but mighty team in Los Angeles. This data‑driven role focuses on donor databases, gift processing (cash and in-kind), and ensuring donors feel seen and appreciated.

You’ll support tours, donor events, appeals, and press or donor requests as they arise. The position requires 2+ years in fundraising databases and strong MS Office/Google skills, with excellent detail and project management, plus a passion for cats.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with databases (fundraising CRM experience required).
• Strong skills in Google and Microsoft products, including spreadsheets and mail merge.
• Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising.
• Great attention to detail and the ability to manage your own projects and deadlines.
• Strong people skills, spoken and written.
• A big heart for cats (experience with animals is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Keep donor database accurate and process gifts (cash and in-kind).
• Run reports and check data.
• Assist Director of Development for donor tours and events.
• Prepare materials for appeals and respond to donor requests as needed.
• Help ensure Development runs smoothly and donors feel valued.
