Job summary

Opera Theatre of Saint Louis is seeking a Manager of Development Operations to lead data integrity, gift processing, and reporting for the Development Department. You will ensure timely entry of gifts, generate tax statements, and reconcile contributed revenue while partnering with Finance and Marketing teams to support donor relations.

The role emphasizes data cleanliness, process documentation, and cross‑department collaboration, with a flexible hybrid schedule and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong, technical database management skills; Tessitura familiarity a plus.
• Understanding of non-profit finance and related reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with donors and prospects.
• Outstanding attention to detail and deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Gift Processing & Acknowledgement: timely, accurate entry of gifts, pledges, and payments; create acknowledgement letters.
• Tax Statements: generate tax statements in collaboration with teams for delivery.
• Reporting: manage data requests and provide donor activity lists and segments.
• Quality Control & Financial Reconciliation: liaison with Finance to ensure accurate gift records and reconciliations.
• Data Cleanliness & Documentation: lead data hygiene efforts and document SOPs.
• Other: streamline operational processes with Development leadership; ensure excellent donor service.
