Job summary

Washington National Opera seeks a Development Operations Manager to lead systems, data, and processes powering fundraising efforts. You will manage Tessitura adoption, maintain donor data integrity, and ensure timely gift processing and reporting for annual fundraising goals.

You will supervise the Development Operations Coordinator and collaborate with Finance, IT, and Marketing to optimize data flows, reporting, and stewardship activities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–6 years in development operations or fundraising, with nonprofit/arts exposure preferred.
• Advanced Tessitura experience required.
• Experience leading or supporting CRM implementations or major system changes.
• Ability to build reports, queries, and dashboards and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency with Excel and project management tools; strong training and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Development team's Tessitura SME and primary contact.
• Assist with Tessitura implementation and alignment with departments.
• Design and deliver Tessitura training; create guides and onboard staff.
• Conduct data audits, deduping, and record hygiene projects.
• Own pipeline/moves management systems and monitoring dashboards.
• Produce regular pipeline, portfolio, and revenue reports for leadership.
• Oversee donor records, gift processing, and acknowledgments.
• Supervise Development Operations Coordinator and budget tracking.
