Job summary

IFCJ in Chicago is seeking an Associate, Donor Support to interact with donors via our call center. You will respond to inquiries, accept donations, resolve concerns, and briefly pray with donors for prayer requests.

This full-time, temp-to-hire role sits in a hybrid Chicago environment on Wacker Drive and aims to support life-saving aid globally. Requirements include 2+ years in customer service/hospitality, empathy, strong problem-solving, and typing 50 WPM.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service/hospitality experience.
• Ability to convey professionalism and empathy with donors.
• Strong problem-solving to respond to donor concerns and requests.
• Cultural sensitivity to Jewish and Christian communities; Evangelical understanding.
• Core values of integrity, humility, accountability, collaboration, dignity and innovation.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• Strong computer skills including donor databases and Microsoft Office; 50 WPM typing.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answering all calls in a courteous and professional manner and follow-up as needed; identify donor needs.
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of letters; proper coding of donor interactions; distribute documents.
• Respond to website feedback, perform initial processing of matching gifts, resolve credit card issues and special projects.
