Job summary

CSL is seeking a capable donor pheresis support technician to prepare the autopheresis machine and monitor donors during the pheresis process. The role requires readiness to respond to alarms, safely disconnect donors, and maintain accurate records using a PDA system.

Cross-training in related tasks may occur, and a willingness to work overtime is expected. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least three months in a medical environment and the ability to perform

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience in a medical/health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Records incidents with PDA and links equipment to donors.
