Job summary

CSL is seeking a Phlebotomy/Pheresis Support role based in Michigan to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis procedures, monitor the process, and promptly respond to alarms and donor needs.

The successful candidate will assist with data recording, equipment linking, and adherence to HSE/OSHA policies while maintaining donor confidentiality and a clean work environment. Cross-training and bilingual flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness regarding donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process using the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available while following HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
