Job summary

MultiCare Foundation in Olympia, WA is seeking a Donor and Board Relations Coordinator to support the Executive Director in board engagement and donor stewardship. This role emphasizes relationship-building with annual and mid-level donors and coordinating board activities with confidentiality and professionalism.

The ideal candidate is organized, relational, and mission-driven, adept at managing boards, stewardship events, and donor communications.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of fundraising, donor relations, or related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn donor CRM tools.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
• Healthcare/nonprofit experience and HIPAA awareness are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary staff liaison to the Foundation Board and committees, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality.
• Coordinate logistics for board meetings, including scheduling, agendas, materials, and follow-up.
• Prepare annual board calendar and support onboarding for new members.
• Support Executive Director and Board Chair to align processes with bylaws and governance best practices.
• Maintain board records, policy manuals, and documentation with relevant leaders.
• Conduct donor outreach via phone, email, and handwritten notes to express gratitude and invite engagement.
• Coordinate donor meetings, site tours, and stewardship experiences with staff.
• Assist in stewardship touchpoints like impact updates and recognition plans.
