Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus. Knowledge of electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device, and thank donors.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes and other merchandise.
• Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions following proper procedures.
• Cleaning duties: bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area and store exterior.
• Customer service activities: assisting customers, pricing merchandise, providing recycling bags, explaining store operations and sales techniques.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
