Job summary

Goodwill South Florida in Tamarac, FL is seeking a Part-Time Retail Associate to support customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, and inventory tasks in a busy store.

The role requires a High School education and may benefit from related experience. You will work with electronic devices, handle cash, and participate in a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus. Knowledge of electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer information into a smart device, thank donors.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other merchandise.
• Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions with proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and payments.
• Cleaning duties: bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and counters; report maintenance needs.
• Customer service activities: assist customers, price merchandise, assist with fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations, and use sales techniques to enhance store image.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
