Job summary

Goodwill South Florida in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a part-time retail associate to support customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, and inventory tasks at the Deerfield store. You will greet donors, process donations, manage cash transactions, and help customers with pricing and fitting rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills; prior cashiering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer information into a device, and thank donors for their items.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances and other merchandise.
• Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and manage cash and credit card procedures.
• Cleaning duties: bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, and counters; report maintenance issues.
• Customer service activities: assist customers, price merchandise, fitting room help, recycling bags, explain store operations, and promote sales techniques.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Skills

Excellent customer service

Cashiering experience

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Education
