The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Production Assistant 1 in the Production department. This non-exempt role supports transportation and route operations, following daily routing and safety procedures.

You will assist with loading/unloading, ensure donations are handled safely, and help supervise a truck helper in a rehabilitation program, while maintaining courteous service to customers and reporting issues promptly.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Follow daily routing directions and avoid off-route movements unless directed.
• Manage time daily to complete routes within the approved schedule.
• Responsible for safe loading and unloading of the truck.
• Handle donated material with safety procedures and PPE.
• Train and supervise truck helper in routine tasks.
• Responsible for Bag & Tag per instructions.
• Complete all pre- and post-checks daily and report any issues.
• Represent The Salvation Army with courteous customer service.
• Report accidents and safety infractions to supervision.
• Abide by DOT regulations, state laws, and meal/rest breaks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
