Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Production Assistant (Truck Driver) to complete driving routes for pickup and/or drop off of donations at the warehouse, assigned donation boxes, and donor homes.

Responsibilities include safe operation of the vehicle, daily inspections, route planning, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves supervising a Truck Helper and representing the organization professionally during pickups.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Valid driver’s license for assigned vehicles and acceptable DMV record.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
• Must be able to read maps and plan and prioritize daily route coverage.
• Must be able to use iPad with GPS, texting and truck inspection report.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Medical card required depending on city and/or state requirement.
• Passing a DOT Physical is a requirement of the job.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes for pickup and/or drop off of donations.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Keep cab and box clean and free of personal items.
• Plan daily routing based on pickups and calls scheduled.
• Develop assigned route while handling loading/unloading duties.
• Maintain accurate records (delivery manifests, trip logs).
• Supervise Truck Helper and model professional conduct.
• Support work therapy program and cooperate with supervisors.
