Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is seeking a donation processor to greet customers and donors, receive donations, issue receipts, and assist with lifting items. You will sort donations into carts, price wares, and keep the work areas clean and organized.

The role requires basic computer and barcode scanner use, plus knowledge of textile articles for garment classification. Prior retail/stock handling experience is preferred, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 100

Qualifications

• Previous retail and/or stock handling experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with barcode scanners.
• Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift items.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Receive donations from donors and issue receipts.
• Help customers with lifting items in and out of vehicles.
• Sort donations into proper carts/bins and assess item quality.
• Sort and price hard goods (wares).
• Maintain clean, safe production and store areas.
