Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is seeking an entry-level Donation Processor in Lady Lake, FL. Under the direction of the General Manager, you will process donations, rotate stock, and place merchandise on appropriate racks while greeting donors and customers.

You will handle receipts, maintain clean, safe floors, and assist customers with information. This role requires strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience highly preferred.
• Basic Internet lookup ability.

Responsibilities

• Politely and professionally receive donations from donors and issue donation receipts for articles donated.
• Rotate stock on a timely basis and in accordance with established procedures; bring stock to sales floor in a timely manner.
• Place and present all merchandise on appropriate textile racks and wares shelves in accordance with merchandising policies and procedures.
• Sort, box and label hangers by type.
• Assist in textile color rotation per established procedure.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
• Direct customers to proper area and provide general information as requested.
• Stay alert and watch for shoplifting; notify store management on suspicious activity.
• Keep sales floor and production area clean and safe.
• Maintain well groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge and vest.
• Refer all customer complaints to management in a timely manner.
• Answer telephone promptly using established etiquette procedure.
• Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines.
• React calmly and respond to emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
